Once upon a dream...

Once upon a dream...I saw this cute castle necklace while browsing through an archive of one of my favourite fashion icons - Nicole Richie. I fell in love....and began searching online...

Who knew...that after 6 months of staring at it online...I would stumble upon it on an unplanned shopping trip! Fate definitely brought us together.

Who could ever say no to this cute Kidada for Disney Couture necklace?! Every girl dreams of being a princess/queen living in a stunning castle.

From the gold-tone chain and pendant, to the pastel enamel colours, to the moving crystal pieces inside the door - this castle is every girl's dream and fantasy.

Yesterday was a "relaxing" day for me, went shopping and got a pedi with my mom afterwards.

As for outfit....

I once again, opted for my beach cover-up - haha so many people don't know that it's supposed to be a beach cover-up, bought from the bathing suit store at Bayview Village, Black opaque tights...and of course...

My fave Ferragamo Varinas from DBF! I received SOOO many compliments on my Varinas yesterday, it just completely made my day :)

At the end of the day...this is what I went home with...

This hairclip is not new...well, it's 2 weeks old..haha. It caught my eye when I went to browse around Anthropologie...and of course...browsing led to buying! haha...

I actually thought about these hair clips for a few days before purchasing them...as I got a new haircut and colour, the only way of styling it that I currently like is by pinning my bangs back with pretty sparkly hair clips.

All 3 hair blings together!

Then...moving on to my make-up purchases...
I have finally found a mascara that works for me! Holds the curl...lengthens and doesn't smudge - Sephora brand's Atomic Mascara!
And yes...several YSL products...I have heard SO many good things about the Touche Eclat that I decided to give it a try...it's still day 2 of using it, so I shall see how it turns out! I also bought a lip gloss stick in Iced Lychee colour - I absolutely adore the colour and it's great for the summer! Last but not least...easyliner...let's just say that I love it so far!

And of course...who doesn't love some free samples!
I have yet to try the lipstick, but I just tried the eyemakeup remover and it's absolutely amazing! Looks like I'm going to have to purchase it soon!

As for the BIG bag, it's a birthday and mother's day gift for my mom from her DBF, which I picked up for him yesterday. :) Inside it is the most gorgeous orange nylon Prada bag! I'll take a picture of it after she opens it
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Buckle my Love, Varina

Ever since I saw these during a shopping trip with my mom about 1 1/2 month ago, I fell in love, and by that, I literally mean the head-over-heels type. I have always loved the look of Varina flats, just because they are such classic staples and give off that flair that no other flats do.

After I saw them, I've been talking about them day and night to my DBF, I work at a store right across from Davids (where these shoes are being sold!) and yes, so every other day, I would either walk past the store or just stare at the HUGE advertisement of these flats outside their store.
One day, my mom, DBF and I went shopping and we dropped by Davids, I decided to just slip on the one that was on display just to satisfy my love for it. Then....the following slipped out of my DBF's lips: "I'll buy them for you the next time I get a raise." then, I was all smiles for the rest of the day.

These flats and I were and are meant to be, as the following Monday, a few hours DBF got to work, he texted me to let me know that he was getting a raise! And of course, 2 weeks later, my love - DBF presented me my other love - these stunningly gorgeous Varinas!

The lightblue/turquoise-ish colour just makes me go gaga over these flats.

Haha, my sister just had to stick her foot into this picture!

I wore this outfit last weekend when I went out for dinner with DBF and my family for Greek food at Danforth - I absolutely love Greek food, and of course, stopped by for some scrumptious desserts at Demetre's after :)
Coral tank top: Abercrombie & Fitch, Silk blouse: Collective Concept, Jeans: AX, Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo Varina.
I purchased this silk blouse some time last week during my break at work. It's just such a summer colour that it makes me happy everytime I wear it. Also, the silky smooth material is just a major plus!

My sister is such a tomboy that she refuses to wear skirts or dresses most of the time, but because there was a special field trip for her school a few days ago, all the girls in her class had to wear skirts, so she quickly made my mom dig it out for her!
Here she is wearing....a peasant top from Zara and a Burberry skirt.

I have been such a bad girl after exams, I've been shopping and shopping and shopping! Here is what has been on my wrist for the past few days!

Juicy Couture enamel buckle bangle(it was on sale!) - will do a post on it soon, Pandora bracelet (Valentine's day gift from DBF, except I bought those charms myself haha), Hayluv bangle (and yes, it was on sale too!) - will also do a post on it asap!
That's it for now! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Comfortably chic

This weekend, or should I say these two weeks have been and are dedicated to studying, therefore, I've been pretty much locked myself up in my room. On Sunday, my mom asked us to go out for lunch with her, and seeing what a beautiful day it was, I was very excited to search for an outfit. However, I wasn't feeling too well those two days, so I didn't want to wear anything tight or too form-fitting; therefore, I opted for my trusty maxi-dress that I purchased on sale at Lucky Brand last year.

Not only do I adore the softness of the fabric, the pattern just makes me go goo-goo-ga-ga over this dress.

Dress: Lucky Brand, grey cardigan purchased from local store in HK, Movado watch, Pandora bracelet (from my dbf)
Although it was a beautiful day, it was rather windy, so I opted for my fave leather jacket - the one from a few posts back and pulled on my fringed cow-boy boots to add an edge to this boho outfit.

Crunch time

First of all, Happy Easter to everyone!

As this time of the year is crunch time for my fellow university students and I...we are all running on a few hours of sleep every night and tons and tons of caffeine and sugar (yes gummy bears and chocolate truffles for me), which is why I look so dead and can barely keep my eyes open - which can be seen in the following pictures. However, I cannot wait till exams are over. I'm very excited for the summer and have tons of plans!

Yesterday, I had one of my final exams. After a long day and night of studying, I made sure that I dressed comfortably to attend my exam - long tee and leggings. Of course, that is not an excuse to look sloppy! Therefore, I wore my new striped blazer from Zara which is my current obsession (I've been wearing it almost everyday!).

My dbf knows me as someone who absolutely adores leggings, and I do, because they are so comfortable. I remember, once, when we went shopping with his friends, one of his friend wanted to buy a grey knitted dress, and she barely ever wears dresses. Everyone asked her why she was buying that, and she said that she could wear it with leggings. My dbf's reaction was "Oh, then you'll be like Laura!". It's funny how he thinks that it's a "me" thing to wear leggings.
I think it is because he doesn't understand how comfortable they are.

Grey striped Long tee - Bossini, Talula leggings (gotta love black leggings! They make your legs look skinnier and elongate them at the same time!) Zara blazer, scarf (stolen from mom's closet! oops! I mean...borrowed!)

Today was such a beautiful day, I wish I could spend the day outside. Oh how I miss and long for the days for patio meals and afternoon tea. No....today was spent...entirely in my room - essay writing. My mom came into my room a huge amount of times, trying to get me out of my room to go out with her to enjoy the beautiful day, she even offered to treat me to getting our nails done, but no....I did not cave in...so finally, when dinner time came, I needed a break, so my mom and I headed to Rodney's at downtown Toronto for dinner.

I always enjoy the oyster bar at Rodney's, however, since my DBF doesn't like oysters (yes I know, he's missing out BIG time!), I can only go with my parents. Not only do I love the oysters there, but their clams are absolutely delicious as well as their clam chowder. Yum! The night was finished off with the perfectly scrumptious Belgian chocolate mousse - I can't wait to go back again.

My dinner outfit:

This headband was purchased from The Bay at Yorkdale last week. I swear, the products at The Bay is getting better and better. I have been looking at this headband for a few weeks, not only is it girly and fun, it is also SUCH a statement piece. I love everything about it, from the peachy colour to the oversized bow - it practically screams my name! So yes...when I went shopping with my mom and DBF last week....DBF purchased this headband for me which he calls - the present - literally.

Today when he came home before my mom and I headed out, he saw that I was wearing the headband. He patted my head and said "hehehehehe the present! you're a present!" - yes silly I know.

This shirt-dress is really a beach cover-up purchased from the bathing suit store at Bayview Village. I bought it a few weeks ago for my family cruise trip in May. I envision myself wearing this cover-up with stacks of bangles on my arms, a head scarf, sunnies and of course - espadrilles! Oooh I can't wait!
The deep-V neckline is embellished wish crystals and embroideries which just add that instant oomph and glam to the whole coverup. The floral prints of it makes it so summer-y and a little plus is that there are cute little gemstones on some flower petals throughout the piece - talk about adding that little bling!

And of course, once again, I opted for my Zara blazer to pull my outfit together! I don't know if you guys noticed, but once of my fave things about this blazer is the two grey patches on the elbows! Hehe, don't ask me why, but they just make me love the blazer even more!
Anyway, I'm off to watch a movie with my mom to relax for a bit...then it's back to essaying for me!
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
